Fundraisers

 

Every year, the members of the B.F. Terry FFA and FFA Booster Club hold several fundraisers.  These events are to raise funds for scholarships and to assist in costs accrued for the FFA members to attend livestock shows, contests, and conventions.

 

 Progress shows

 

The B.F. Terry FFA Booster Club hosts two Progress Shows each year to raise funds for scholarships.  These events typically take place in January and July.  FFA members have the opportunity to show their livestock projects, work the event or both.  All participation accumulates points toward scholarships and toward their letter jacket.

 

Raffle/Drawing

The B.F. Terry FFA and FFA Booster Club work together every fall to sell tickets for our Fall drawing.  The drawing is typically held in the Agriculture shop at a regularly scheduled monthly meeting.  The Booster Club members are asked to obtain items to be used in the drawing.  All participation accumulates points toward scholarship and toward letter jacket.

 

 

Fishing Tournament

This event is hosted by the Booster Club and is typically held in October in Matagorda, Texas.  Both Booster Club members and FFA members are asked to help work this event.  Parents are also asked to assist in obtaining door prizes.  All participation accumulates points toward scholarships and toward their letter jacket.

 

 

Fruit and Meat Sale

The fruit and meat sales are given to the FFA members by the Agriculture teacher in the fall each year.  Students sell meat that is typically delivered in December and fruit that is delivered in November.  All participation accumulates points toward scholarships and toward their letter jacket.
